Hotels in Part-Dieu, Lyon: stay next to the TGV station
Part-Dieu is Lyon's main high-speed train station and its business district, with towers, a big shopping centre and the Halles Paul Bocuse food market a few minutes away. It is practical rather than charming, and the most efficient base for a short trip.
